Cubic zirconia is a laboratory-grown stone, not glass and not diamond. It is cut with the same facet patterns as a diamond and throws a similar amount of light, so a 6 mm halo stud reads bright from across a room. It is also softer at the surface, so it clouds with skin oil and hairspray more readily than a diamond does and comes back with a wipe.
The sizes on this page are deliberately small. The halo studs run 4.5, 7 and 8 mm across including the surrounding ring of tiny stones; the stones on the chains and anklets are 2 to 3 mm, set flush so they do not catch on knitwear. A stone set flush also loses less light to a shadow, which matters more at this size than the number of facets does.
A piece leaves this page when it leaves stock; 12 are on it as of the last update of the CAROVO range.
